In Santa Ana, California, USA, Petra Systems completed the first phase (pilot project), focusing on establishing a net-zero street lighting network alongside a smart lighting control system.
The proof-of-concept project included:
Petra’s smart solar generators
Intelligent lighting control units
IntelliView asset management services
The first phase successfully demonstrated sustainable, smart, and controllable lighting, opening the door for citywide expansion.
The second phase (currently under evaluation by Santa Ana Municipality) will include:
Installation of approximately 14,000 smart lighting units throughout the city.
Provision of public wireless internet (Public WiFi) for residents and visitors.
Establishment of an integrated communication infrastructure via Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI Backhaul).
